DESCRIZIONE

Joseph Clark produced many oil paintings of children, which were generally well received by the Victorian public, and he was a regular exhibitor of childhood subjects at the Royal Academy. He was born in the picturesque village of Cerne Abbas in Dorset, and often returned to sketch and paint there after he had moved to London.
