Rubbing from lower part of stele of classical text Qian zi wen (Thousand Character Essay). Inscription in 2 styles of script: cao shu and kai shu, in parallel lines. Inscription followed by a postscript written by Xue Sichang. Calligraphy by Buddhist monk Shi Zhiyong (active between Chen and Sui Dynasty; 7th. generation of Wang Xizhi, 321-379). Stele engraved by Xue Sichang.
